Traineeship Helps Frank Develop Professionally & Personally

07 October 2019

Frank Rees is only a few months into his warehousing traineeship but he has already learnt many skills that will continue to help him in his future. The trainee is hosted to Carr Australia, a manufacturer based in Western Sydney.

“I have developed various skills such as working independently, leadership skills, problem solving, time management, work flow and efficiency when working in a fast paced environment,” said Frank.

Gaining experience in the warehousing industry is something Frank was very interested in before starting his traineeship.

“I wanted to gain experience and knowledge about the warehouse,” said Frank.

“I also wanted to develop as a person to further my skills such as being a team player as well as [being] independent.”

Frank is very happy with his decision to pursue a warehousing traineeship and is enjoying his time at Carr Australia so far.

“I enjoy the interaction with others, growing as a worker and most importantly, learning new things,” he said.

Frank’s supervisor, Bas Kalaitjis, has been impressed with the trainee’s ability to learn fast, take on responsibility and get tasks done. Bas believes Frank has added many great qualities to the team dynamic at Carr Australia.

“[Frank is a] great worker, has good vibes, is willing to learn and is looking to become a good leader,” said Bas.

Over the coming months as he looks to complete his Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, Frank is excited and keen to continue gaining as many skills as possible, including learning to drive a forklift, to help him in his future career.

“I hope to strengthen my leadership skills and confidence,” he added.
