2023 So Far: Completions, New Starters & More!

30 June 2023

It’s already the halfway point of the year so we thought it would be the perfect time to reflect on some of the positive things to happen in 2023.

Apprentices and trainees

We want to shout out all our apprentices and trainees who have completed their qualifications this year. Completing an apprenticeship or traineeship always requires a huge amount of effort and commitment. Many of the apprentices who have completed in the first half of 2023 would have worked through the very challenging pandemic period so it is no mean feat to get to this point.

Congratulations to everyone who now has a qualification under their belt! Thank you also to the host businesses who have supported these apprentice and trainee graduates throughout their journeys.

We have also seen just over 100 new starters in 2023! The apprentices and trainees who have begun their placements this year work in a variety of trades and industries including:

  • Bricklaying
  • Boilermaking
  • Business administration
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Heavy vehicle
  • Horticulture
  • Landscape construction

If you are looking to start an apprenticeship or traineeship in the second half of the year, please reach out to us! We have a stack of vacancies available now and will have more as we move towards 2024.

Working with students across Sydney

Our team has met thousands of students over the past six months to discuss apprenticeship and traineeship pathways. Through our School to Work program, we’ve visited approximately 60 schools and attended close to 15 careers expo.

The work is not done yet, with the aim to follow up with students who expressed a keen interest in gaining an apprenticeship or traineeship as the school year ends. Our team already has plenty in the way of talks and expos booked in for Term 3 so if you are interested in our School to Work program, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you to all the students and teachers who have welcomed us into their schools this year so far!
