My Gateway’s Recruitment Days are fast approaching and we want all those who are coming along to get the most out of their interview and experience. Here are a few tips you might find helpful for your upcoming interview:
My Gateway has three general Recruitment Days locked in for the coming months, as well as two specific dates for School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. Make sure you double-check which date and time you have registered for. You would have received this information when our Recruitment Team confirmed your interview via phone and email.
If your interview is scheduled for 10am, make sure you are at the venue at least 15 minutes beforehand. If for some reason you are running late, please call the My Gateway phone number you have been given to let us know. It is important to be mindful that your interview is not the only one taking place that day as we have several timeslots booked out with other candidates.
The interview starts before you walk in the door as there will be several My Gateway staff present, so being on time ensures the first foot you put forward is your best!
Bring your resume, any school reports or references you may have, as well as any other certificates or qualifications that might be relevant.
If you need to, prepare some notes of the key points as to why you want the job or career path you are interested in. Add a few of the skills and attributes you believe you possess to be an asset in the workforce.
Presentation is important so make sure you are dressed appropriately. Poor presentation might be interpreted that you are not that serious about getting a job.
If you have any questions about your upcoming interview with us, give us a call on 1800 993 200 and ask to speak with one of our friendly Recruitment Team members who will be happy to help you out.
We look forward to meeting you at our Recruitment Days!
