Ladies Can Be Tradies: Meet Our Tradeswomen – Part I

22 May 2019

This year on International Women’s Day, My Gateway launched the Ladies Can Be Tradies initiative. The aim is to increase the number of women in non-traditional trades over the next year.

As part of the initiative, we have been getting to know our current tradeswomen. Each of My Gateway’s female tradies have their own stories to tell and advice to share, and we hope they can inspire more of you to follow the career paths of your dreams!

Meet Ashlea, Helena and Matilda!

The first group of tradeswomen we would like you to meet are:

Ashlea – Horticulture Apprentice, hosted to Camden Council

Helena – Plant Mechanic Apprentice, hosted to Wollondilly Shire Council

Matilda – Fitting & Machining Apprentice, hosted to LaserBond
